Do magnetic bracelets really work? In my case the answer is yes they do. I have two bone spurs on the bottom of my foot that when I woke up would make me limp around for a couple hours. I use arch supports and they helped some, but this little bracelet made a difference to me. Don't expect results in a week, give it a month. Co-workers have said that I don't have my limp when I walk anymore. Did this little bracelet do the trick or did knowing I was wearing it help? Either way, I don't have the crippling pain when I wake like before and I'll keep wearing mine until I wear it out.



One con is that it will turn your arm a shade of green from the cooper. This is normal and others have lessened this effect by using a silicone sealant or polish on the underside. I use clear nail polish myself.

The Phiten products confound me - at first I thought of them like the gimmicky copper or magnetic bracelets that you see all over the place nowadays. I grabbed one from Amazon during a sale as an impulse buy and so far I have been completely impressed by the amount that they actually do work.



They're not a miracle cure - if you have arthritis or carpel tunnel, these various necklaces, bracelets and braces will not suddenly remove all pain, however they may lessen down a degree or two.



I have constant shoulder and knee issues - both joints literally grind when I move them around in my socket. Most of the time, the feeling is more of an annoyance, not a "pain" - like someone constantly leaning on your shoulder. When my joints feel that way, wearing the Phiten items makes the pain go away completely enough that I don't notice it. When my joints actually hurt - a dull ache such as during wet weather - wearing the Phiten products drops it down to the level of a "presence". In other words, I can still feel my joints being "grumpy," but it's not as bad as needing to take an Advil.



I also wear these during workouts and while it is absolutely not a replacement for a good stretch routine, it does seem to help cut back on the after-workout soreness.

I had a cheaper "star" version of the Phiten necklace and although I wouldn't call it magic it did seem to help muscle pain in the upper body brought on by workouts. All of the MLB Phiten necklaces are the X30 type and I wasn't sure I wanted to wear a baseball team necklace so I was glad I found this version, its the X30, which apparently means is has 30 times more of the titanium in it, but it looked a lot better than the baseball team one.



So to the real question, how does it work? Well as I said I all ready had one of the cheaper versions and I found some, not a huge, effect from that. Is this one much more effective? I honestly cant say that there's enough of a difference to totally justify paying twice as much as the cheaper version. I do think it does something, I recover faster and seem to be stronger in upper body exercises with it. But is it noticeably better than the "star" version and worth twice the price, I'm not so sure about that. But then again I didn't think it would have some magic powers to take away muscle soreness but to me it does seem to reduce it and make recovery faster so I'm pleased with it. It also looks good and the styles are better looking than the styles of the "star" version. So, if you don't have unrealistic expectations about what it will do for you I can recommend this product or the cheaper "star" version if you want to save some money.
